Meet BB, our Blind Boy!

At just 1.5 years old, BB has already been through quite a journey. With his right eye removed and uncertain vision in his left, BB is a resilient and sociable cat who thrives on human interaction. Rescued from a parking lot, where he appeared lost and confused beside a heap of rubble, picked up by rescuer team who couldn’t bear the idea of leaving him there…

BB, despite his vision disability, is a confident and outgoing boy, with a strong personality. He knows exactly what he likes and isn't afraid to express his preferences. While he may scold his humans when they step out of line, he adores attention and craves affection. He's particularly fond of full-body rubs and will let you know if he wants more, though it's essential not to overstimulate him to avoid nips.

A lap cat at heart, BB enjoys cuddling up on the sofa with his humans. He's also quite vocal, expressing himself through meows and even the occasional scream when he's feeling anxious or needs attention, which we truly believe will go with time and once he settles and trusts he is safe.

Currently residing in a small guest bathroom due to a lack of foster homes, BB's social interactions are limited, making him yearn for a permanent home where he can truly thrive.

With his playful nature, BB may occasionally engage in rather rough play, especially when overstimulated, which we believe is due to his lack of visual awareness and enough interaction, but he's learning to channel his energy in more positive ways.

Despite his impaired vision, BB is a smart cat who may even be trainable to walk on a leash, providing him with a safe outdoor experience. However, his caregiver will need to be creative in enriching his indoor environment to prevent boredom.

While BB has adjusted well to indoor living since his rescue, he seems to prefer being the only pet in the household. Additionally, given his visual impairment, a home without young children would be ideal for his comfort and safety.

If you're looking for a charming and affectionate companion who will keep you entertained with his antics, look no further than BB.

Despite his challenges, he has a lot of love to give and is eagerly waiting for a forever home where he can be cherished and adored.
