Amore will be waiting at the door to welcome you home, wanting to be entertained and receive lots of cuddles. She spends most of the day sleeping by the window and watching the world go by, she will scout out all the sunspots where she will snooze. Talkative, chatty and full of love, what more could you want in a companion kitty?
Amore loves to be in the company of her humans. Despite not being a fan of being picked up, she will circle in and out of your legs and follow you around the house. She’s confident around people and a lively household wouldn’t phase her, in fact, she would thrive in an enriching home. She can come across as a little shy around new people, but it doesn’t take her long to warm up to the – treats, wet food and puree treats is the way to this girl’s heart. She LOVES her food and is quite a little piggy, she will ask for more wet food whilst she looks at you with her round beady eyes, anyone can fall into this trap!
She loves anything with Tuna and prefers wet food over dry food, she will lightly graze on her kibbles through the day. Her diet is one to watch as she could end up packing on the pounds!
Amore was living as a community cat for most of her life until she started to lose drastic weight where her guardians realised she was struggling to eat. She had several teeth removed due to an infection in her gums. This has been fixed, but her new family will need to remain vigilant in the future.
The ideal family will need to be patient with settling her in at the beginning as she doesn’t like any sort of change, once settled she will thrive. A home where she has the freedom to explore, and enriching will be essential. Some prior experience with cats would be desirable, but not essential.
Indoor/Outdoor: She is now a fully indoor cat. Or a purpose build catio will be essential if you plan to allow her to explore the outdoors.
Dogs: she was exposed to dogs in the community but we have never seen her interact with any.
Kids: older kids ideally, she may not have the tolerance for younger children.
Amore is 5 years old, she is fully litter trained, fully vaccinated, spayed and microchipped - FIV/FeLV negative.
