About Us

Itty Bitty Kitty Tails is a UK-registered non-profit organisation supporting the responsible rehabilitation and rehoming of rescued cats through trusted relationships, collaborative rescue support and long-term welfare-focused adoption pathways.

But long before the organisation existed, there was Queenie.

Where It All Began

In 2015, what started as a simple search to adopt two kittens in the UAE unexpectedly became something much bigger.

At the time, very little was personally understood about the realities surrounding stray and abandoned cats, or the individuals quietly dedicating their lives to helping them. After joining a local rescue group and continuing the search to adopt, the Founder of Itty Bitty Kitty Tails unexpectedly returned home not only with two kittens, but fostering Queenie and her seven kittens after they had been rescued from an illegal breeder.

Queenie would go on to become far more than a rescue cat.

She became the emotional foundation behind Itty Bitty Kitty Tails and the reason the organisation exists today.

Caring for Queenie and her kittens completely changed the understanding of what responsible rescue truly means - not simply saving animals in moments of crisis, but creating thoughtful, long-term pathways built around safety, rehabilitation, trust and care.

Today, Queenie’s legacy continues through every part of the organisation and the community that has grown around it.

Today

What began as a small rescue initiative has evolved into a wider community-led support ecosystem connecting rescuers, fosters, adopters and advocates through trusted relationships and carefully managed rescue pathways.

Itty Bitty Kitty Tails remains volunteer-led and community-driven, continuing to support vulnerable cats through rehabilitation, fostering, collaborative rescue support and responsible rehoming pathways rooted in transparency, compassion and long-term welfare.

Through initiatives such as The Itty Bitty Collective, foster support programmes and educational advocacy, the organisation continues working toward more sustainable and compassionate rescue practices for both cats and the people helping them.

Mia, Founder

Rescue is never just about saving a life.

It is about what happens afterwards - the care, patience, rehabilitation and long-term commitment that allows vulnerable animals to truly feel safe again.

That belief remains at the heart of Itty Bitty Kitty Tails today
