For rescuers: you've done the hard part. We can help from here.

You found the cat, got them safe and paid for the first vet visit. IBKT brings the structure, the standards and the UK homes, so every cat you rehome through us lands safely, for life. We work with rescuers in the UK and the Middle East.

  • 500+ cats rehomed since 2015
  • 97% stay in their home for good (fewer than 1 in 30 ever need rehoming again)
  • 10+ rescue partners
  • For life: follow-up for every cat, with a UK safety net

What we take on

We don't compete with rescuers. We give you a platform and a standard.

  • Everything after the rescue. Profile writing, marketing and advertising, adopter vetting and checks, and the flight logistics.
  • Your cat, your choice. You approve the adopter, and we keep you updated for your cat's whole life.
  • Seen by the right people. Your cat is listed on our website and social media, with enhanced options on request.
  • Help with the flight. We help fundraise for the journey through the Itty Bitty Collective.
  • Travel done properly. We handle the paperwork, with licensed relocation agents we check ourselves (DEFRA-approved on the UK side).
  • For life. We stay in touch for the cat's whole life. If things change, the cat comes back to us and our UK network steps in.

What we ask of you

One standard for every cat, so adopters can trust every listing.

How money works. IBKT raises and holds funds in the UK only, and pays vets and agents directly against invoices. Rescuers and volunteers in the UAE never collect money for IBKT.

  • Neutered or spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and fully health-checked. No cat travels until this is done, usually at about 6 months old.
  • FIV/FeLV tested from 1 year old.
  • A full vet record, with everything declared.
  • Time in a foster home first, so we know your cat's personality and the match is real.
  • We help raise the travel costs through the Itty Bitty Collective, and you cover anything that isn't raised. Your cat is crate trained before the flight.
  • You sign our Rescuer Agreement.
  • We onboard you as a rescue partner. Then, for each cat, you send the listing pack: photos, personality, routine and quirks, a 15-second video and their vet reports.

How it works

  1. Request the toolkit. Tell us where you rescue and how many cats you're hoping to rehome. We'll onboard you as a rescue partner.
  2. Get your cat ready. Vet care, neutering and testing, then time in a foster home so we know their personality. Crate training comes last, so your cat is ready to fly.
  3. Send the listing pack. Photos, a 15-second video, vet reports and everything that makes your cat who they are. We write the profile.
  4. We find the home. We market your cat, vet every adopter and check references. You approve the match.
  5. Travel day. We handle the paperwork and logistics with licensed agents. Your cat flies to their new home.
  6. For life. We follow up for your cat's whole life and keep you updated.
