Belle is the kind of cat who will take over your home—and your heart—before you realise it. Found outside but clearly once a beloved house pet, she quickly reminded everyone that she's not built for street life. She’s clever, confident, and full of character.

Belle is an explorer at heart. Every cabinet, corner, and curtain has been investigated and approved. She’s obsessed with cardboard boxes, likes to hide in the oddest spots (kitchen cupboards are a favourite), and can often be found trying to drink from the tap when she thinks no one’s watching. She’s very playful—more so by the day—and thrives on games. Her favourites? Feather toys, rattle balls, paper to shred, and anything she can jump at with full force. Yes, she’s got a little hunter in her, and it shows.

She’s also hilariously naughty. She likes vertical scratching polls and can go for your chair's arm if not provided with enough scratching toys, she tears paper when she’s feeling cheeky, but has absolutely no interest in fetching the balls as example of her random quirks. She’s very playful and needs someone who can engage her in games regularly throughout the day and evening.

Belle is highly intelligent and has picked up a few useful commands like “come here” and “no” (though she’ll sometimes respond with a bit of side-eye). She’s not the most trainable cat, but she does learn routines. For example, she waits for her foster to walk her in the corridor every day and knows when it’s time to come back inside, especially if treats are involved.

When it comes to food, Belle eats dry food and drinks water with no issue. However, she has a sensitive stomach when it comes to wet food and is currently on a specific digestive formula. After some trial and error, she now happily eats it—but only under specific conditions: the food must be properly mashed inside the pouch before serving, and she’ll only eat a small amount (less than half a pouch) directly from her foster mama’s hand. She loves it, just not in large quantities, and only with her preferred “service style.”

While not a lap cat or overly cuddly, Belle shows her affection in subtle, sweet ways—she’ll slow blink at you all day, rest against you at night, or roll over for belly rubs (which she loves). She enjoys being petted, especially on her belly, and often lies on her back to grab your attention with her little “come love me” pose. But she’s not a fan of being picked up—respecting her space is important.

Belle is also very chatty—a true conversationalist who meows when she’s bored, wants to play, or just wants to be noticed. She’s a total attention seeker and really blossoms when her humans are around, especially on weekends when the house is full. It’s clear she values company and thrives with someone who’s home often or able to give her loads of interaction after work.

She sleeps 10–12 hours a day, but her schedule shifts depending on your presence and her mood. If she’s bored, she naps; if she’s intrigued, she’s up and exploring. She’s independent, yes—but not low-maintenance. Belle needs a home where playtime is taken seriously and where she can get the attention she craves.

As for other pets: she might be open to a feline companion if it’s the right match—playful but respectful. With kids, she’d be fine as long as they understand her boundaries and don’t try carrying her around. with time she now tolerates more and more being held, though.

Belle is perfect for someone who:

  • Works from home or is around most of the day

  • Doesn’t mind a chatty cat

  • Has the energy to play with her daily

  • Loves a cat who’s full of sass, smarts, and affection (on her terms)

  • Can respect her quirky but important food preferences

She’s silly, vocal, demanding, affectionate (in her own way), and will absolutely make you laugh and adore her every single day. If you're looking for a companion with personality and presence, Belle is your girl.
