FIGARO

Figaro is a charming, big-hearted boy with an engine-like purr that starts up as soon as you look at him! Named for his rumbling purr, he’s a softie at heart and an absolute teddy bear who adores his humans—but he prefers to be the only cat in the house, enjoying every bit of attention to himself.

This gentle giant might look intimidating, but he’s incredibly affectionate and will gladly climb onto your lap without any invitation. Figaro loves head rubs, cuddles, and being close to his people. Although he may need a few days to settle into a new home, once he feels comfortable, he’ll snuggle up, fitting seamlessly into your daily routine, and he even sleeps soundly through the night.

Figaro is highly motivated by food and will let you know when it’s mealtime with his endearing (and insistent) meows. He’s also fascinated by "cat TV" and can spend ages watching birds and critters on a screen, totally engrossed as if he’s out in the wild.

This confident, social cat has a strong presence and an even stronger bond with people. He loves greeting anyone who walks through the door and demands a quick “hello” before you settle in. Figaro is playful and likes a good dash around, but he’s far more interested in being with people than playing on his own.

His rescue story began when he was found outside his rescuer’s home, where he’d shown up nightly, trying to assert dominance over the colony cats. Recognizing his need for a solo home, his rescuer picked him up and began the search for a family who could give him the undivided attention he craves.

Figaro is talkative and may meow to get your attention, calming down quickly once he’s satisfied. Occasionally, he gives gentle “love bites” to show his affection—always playful, never hard, though he might do best with adults or families with older children who can understand his love language.
