HANDSOME

Some cats are elegant, some are mysterious, and some arrive in your life like a small whirlwind of curiosity, charm and mischief. Handsome falls firmly into the latter category.

At just 10 months old, Handsome is still very much a teenager – full of energy, enthusiasm and opinions about absolutely everything. With his striking blue eyes and beautiful white, grey and marbled coat, we suspect there may have been a Siamese somewhere in his family tree, quietly passing down both the looks and the lively personality.

Handsome wakes up each day ready for adventure. If there is a toy nearby, he will play. If there isn’t a toy nearby, he will likely invent one. He’s always keen to be involved in whatever his humans are doing – whether that’s supervising dinner preparation, investigating interesting smells on the table, or making sure you haven’t forgotten that playtime is an essential part of the daily schedule.

Like many young cats, Handsome is still learning the finer points of polite feline behaviour. When he gets excited, he may use his paws or teeth during play – not out of nastiness, but simply because he’s a youngster who hasn’t quite mastered his manners yet. With a bit of patience, guidance and plenty of appropriate toys to wrestle instead of hands, he will continue to grow into a well-mannered young gentleman.

He’s not currently much of a lap cat – being picked up is tolerated for about ten seconds before important kitten business calls him elsewhere. That said, Handsome clearly enjoys being close to his people and will often join you later at night, settling down by your feet for a peaceful sleep. Independence during the day, quiet companionship at night – it’s a balance he seems to appreciate.

Because he is such an active and social boy, we think Handsome would thrive in a home where he has plenty of stimulation and interaction. An energetic feline friend could be a wonderful match for him – someone to chase, wrestle and generally share kitten adventures with.

Handsome is best suited to a home that understands that young cats are a bit like teenagers: curious, occasionally cheeky, and full of life. With the right guidance and plenty of play, he has all the makings of a brilliant companion.
