JIMMY & JULIUS

Fate works in mysterious ways, just ask Jimmy and Julius, two ginger-and-white Arabian Maus who were rescued separately but found each other in their foster home. Though they differ in size and age, these “brothers from another mother” have formed a heartwarming bond. Jimmy takes on a gentle, almost fatherly role, while Julius patiently returns every ounce of affection with quiet sweetness. Jimmy’s story began on the streets, where this charming boy survived by begging for scraps outside a supermarket and sleeping under cars. Julius’s journey is gentler but no less special. He was rescued as a kitten with his mother, Freya, a one-eyed calico, who had hidden him away in an apartment storeroom to keep him safe. Though born outdoors, Julius had never experienced life beyond those walls, no sunshine, no street noise, just his mother’s care. Thanks to patient fostering, he has grown into a well-socialized, affectionate, and trusting young cat, comfortable around people and full of love to give.

While Julius remains bonded to his mom, it’s clear that Jimmy has become his best friend and role model. Julius adores his big brother’s confidence and enthusiasm, and the two spend their days in a happy rhythm of play, naps, and mutual grooming.

Neither Jimmy nor Julius has been tested with dogs, but both are perfectly suited to be indoor-only cats, with outdoor time limited to a fully secure catio. Jimmy is best with older children who understand his playful, sometimes boisterous energy, while Julius’s calm, gentle nature balances him beautifully.
