MAPLE

Maple is a beautiful semi-fluffy tabby girl of around 1.5 years old, and sweetness truly runs through her whiskers. She is affectionate, curious and incredibly loving — the sort of cat who adores her humans and quite enjoys being the centre of attention. And if, for a moment, she isn’t? She simply turns up the charm until she is.

She was found in a colony with a skin issue which turned out to be a food allergy. Since being placed on Hill’s Sensitive food, her skin and coat have cleared beautifully, and she’s doing wonderfully on this special diet.

Outdoors, she tried to interact with other cats, but they picked on her and she became stressed. We strongly suspect she was once a house cat, possibly abandoned, as she simply didn’t have the instincts — or the temperament — for street life. She is far too gentle for that world.

Now in foster care, Maple is settling into home life as if she has always belonged there. We are still learning more about her each day, but it is already clear that she is a phenomenally well-behaved and gentle soul. Her fur is soft and glossy, she sleeps like a little princess, and she absolutely loves toys and the cat tree.

She plays in the gentlest way — no claws, no rough biting — almost as if she instinctively knows when something might hurt. And she has the funniest, quirkiest little meow when she wants to play or has something important to tell you. It’s completely endearing and very much part of her charm.

Maple is friendly, affectionate and very people-oriented. She would thrive in a loving home with children aged 6+ who understand boundaries and respect animals. With the right introduction, we believe she could also become a good companion for a calm, cat-friendly resident cat.

Maple is simply a soft-hearted girl who wants love, comfort and her people close by. After everything she has been through, she deserves a home where she will never feel abandoned again — just cherished.
