SOPHIE

Sophie is a 2-year-old girl with striking emerald-green eyes and a beautiful silver-marble coat. She was rescued from a park while pregnant, struggling with hunger and exhaustion. As part of a TNR effort, she received much-needed medical care, including the removal of a few teeth and the amputation of her tail, which had turned lifeless.

Now in a foster home, Sophie is adjusting to life indoors. She is a calm and gentle cat who sleeps peacefully through the night and has a moderate interest in play—she enjoys it but isn’t overly energetic. She is well-behaved and seems grateful for the safety and comfort of a home.

Because of her gentle nature, we suspect she would do well in a home with children aged 8+ who understand how to interact with cats. She may also be able to live with a cat-friendly feline companion, given the right introduction.

We’re still getting to know her personality, but so far, she has shown herself to be a quiet and undemanding companion. She would do well in a peaceful home with someone who understands that she’s been through a lot and deserves kindness and patience as she continues to settle in.
