WINSTON

One-and-Only Prince

1.5 years old, neutered, male

Available

For adoption anywhere in the UK

Winston’s story starts in a stable, where he’d almost certainly been dumped—pure snow-white, big as a small cloud, and looking at you with those impossible blue eyes as if to say, “Can I come home now?” He did, and he’s never looked back. He settled straight into indoor life, decided humans are his people, and now spends his days being a handsome house panther who just happens to be white. He’s a big boy, so his foster is gently watching his portions—think sleek athlete, not extra-fluffy marshmallow—and Winston is absolutely on board as long as wet-food o’clock arrives on time.

Mornings are Winston at his sweetest: long snoozes, a stretchy “good morning,” and then he politely (sometimes at 5am) hops onto the bed to request chin rubs and remind you that breakfast exists. He really is a wet-food enthusiast with a perfectly tuned internal alarm. After his feast he’ll choose one of his favourite nap spots around the house or watch Cat TV, gazing out like a tiny snow lion keeping the street in order.

By evening, the zoomies clock in. Winston lives for his ball and his toy fish—he’ll dribble, pounce, and bat them around like a one-cat sports team. Wand toys? He’s far too cool… unless you hide them first, and then detective Winston arrives, whiskers twitching, mission accepted. He’s clever, too: he already knows sit and jump on command and is working on a very distinguished “paw.” He’s not a full-time lap cat—more of a pop-in, say-hi, and trot-off kind of guy—and while he’s happy to be picked up when calm, about a minute is his limit. If he’s in play mode (especially evenings), cuddles can wait till after the match.

He’s a sweetheart through and through, but he can feel a bit stressed if left alone for more than six hours, so a home where someone works from home or is around is perfect. The good news: after a brief settling-in period he sleeps well through the night (post-snack wanderings and tiny power-naps included), then greets the next day with the same cheerful routine—chin rubs, breakfast, patrol, nap. Winston also prefers to be the only cat; he loves his people so much he’d like them all to himself. Indoor-only suits him perfectly—he’s done with outdoor adventures and very content ruling his kingdom from the sofa.

If you’re looking for a stunning, funny, people-loving companion who’ll make you laugh in the evenings, keep you company by day, and nudge your hand for chin rubs at precisely the right moment, Winston is ready to be your one and only.
