Apply to adopt

Rescuers start it, fosters carry it and adopters close the loop. This form is your first step towards finishing a rescue and bringing a cat home to your sofa. Not sure yet? Read how adoption works first.

Before you start

Nothing upfront. That's a promise. We never ask for a deposit or any payment before your cat arrives. The adoption fee, from £290 per cat, is paid when your cat lands with you.

• It takes about 15 minutes, and you can save and finish later.
• You need to be 18 or over. If you live with your parents, the head of the home applies.
• We reply within 48 hours. We're all volunteers, so thank you for your patience.

What happens next

1. Let's talk. We'll call to get to know you and answer your questions. No question is too small.
2. Home visit. A quick look at your home, in person or by video, so we know your cat will be safe and settled.
3. Review. We look at everything together and make sure the match is right for both of you.
4. References. We speak to your referees, including your vet if you have one.
5. You finish the rescue. Once you're approved, we confirm the adoption and plan your cat's journey home.
