Shadow and Pepper are siblings, around eight to nine months old, who have been together since the very beginning. They were rescued as tiny kittens from an industrial zone and grew up side by side, later settling into a foster home with children. Their shared history shows in the quiet, everyday ways they move through life — checking in with each other, grooming together, and reuniting naturally whenever one of them needs reassurance.
Shadow is a glossy black boy with a great deal of confidence and an even greater sense of entitlement. He is openly affectionate, deeply loving, and entirely convinced that humans exist primarily for cuddling. He asks for attention, curls himself up against you at every opportunity, and has developed a full vocabulary for expressing his needs. He is bold, communicative and extremely patient with young children, happily staying involved in play for far longer than expected.
Playtime is taken seriously. Anything that moves — or looks vaguely like a tail — will be chased with enthusiasm. When the action is over, Shadow’s next priority is proximity. He follows his people from room to room, sleeps in beds, and takes a dim view of closed doors. If excluded, he will howl at the bedroom door, open it himself, and install himself wherever he sees fit. It quickly becomes clear that you are living in his house, and he is generously allowing you to stay.
Pepper, his tabby bronze sister, is a little queen with a hint of cattitude and a much more selective approach to affection. She is slightly timid, quietly observant, and enjoys cuddles very much — provided they are on her terms. She can be picked up easily, but will only settle in if she feels inclined, and she expects that decision to be respected.
She is patient and gentle with children, though if things become a bit loud or energetic, she will sensibly remove herself and observe from a distance. Pepper loves warmth and light and can often be found snoozing in a sunbeam or watching birds from the window with great focus. At night, she is perfectly happy sleeping on the bed, though she is just as content curled up on her favourite spot on the sofa.
Together, Shadow and Pepper strike a lovely balance. They are independent but deeply bonded, joining each other naturally when comfort or company is needed. Shadow, in particular, is devoted to his sister and loves grooming and cuddling with her, while Pepper seems quietly reassured by his presence.
Both cats are gentle, well-adjusted and used to life with children. Shadow is happy to stay engaged for longer, while Pepper prefers calmer interactions. They would suit a home that enjoys personality, affection and a bit of humour, while also understanding that not all love is loud.
Shadow and Pepper are not just siblings — they are a matched pair, offering warmth, companionship and the unmistakable feeling that your home now belongs to them.
