- SPOTTY & DOTTY| Rescue Cat for Adoption | Itty Bitty Kitty Tails
The Sweet Spot Duo < Back SPOTTY & DOTTY The Sweet Spot Duo 1.5 and 8 Months Old, Spayed, Females Next > Available Available Across UK Dotty and her daughter Spotty were found in a parking lot, just the two of them, already moving through the world as a little unit. It didn’t take long to realise this wasn’t just a mother and kitten — they are properly bonded, the kind of pair that quietly choose each other again and again. You see it in the small moments: how they drift back together, how they play in sync, how Dotty checks in and Spotty follows her lead. Dotty is around 1.5 years old and carries herself with a calm, gentle confidence. She’s soft in everything she does — in the way she moves, the way she settles, the way she keeps you company without ever asking for too much. She likes being near her people, often choosing a spot within reach, happy just to share the space. She has that rare ability to bring a sense of calm into a room without trying. Spotty, at around 8 months, is the lighter, playful spark beside her. She’s curious, a little cheeky, and always ready to turn a quiet moment into playtime if a toy appears — especially anything that rolls. Her meows are mostly reserved for inviting you to join in. She’s still learning to fully trust human affection — not distant, just thoughtful about it — and it’s lovely to watch her confidence grow day by day, always anchored by her mum. Together, they’re a joy in the most understated way. Dotty’s instinct to care is still very much there, and Spotty clearly draws comfort from it. They keep each other entertained, move around the home with ease, and bring a kind of quiet, steady companionship that just feels good to have around. They are both house-trained and easy to care for. They eat well (tuna is a favourite here), and have been friendly and relaxed around other cats when introduced properly. They would not suit a home with dogs, but would do well in a home with other calm cats or on their own as a pair. In terms of health, Spotty is FIV/FeLV negative. Dotty is FIV positive but otherwise healthy and living a completely normal, happy life. With proper care and a safe indoor environment, FIV+ cats can live long and comfortable lives. They would suit a calm, loving home where their bond can be respected and where they can continue to build confidence at their own pace. A family with older children (12+) who understand gentle boundaries would be absolutely fine, or a quieter household where they can settle in and be themselves. If you’re looking for something real — a pair with a genuine connection, soft energy, and the kind of everyday presence that makes a home feel warmer — Dotty and Spotty are ready for that next chapter, together Further Information Vaccinations UTD FIV/FeLV Negative, FIV+ Microchip Dogs Yes No Other conditions? - HENRY | Rescue Cat for Adoption | Itty Bitty Kitty Tails
The Quirky-Eared Charmer < Back HENRY The Quirky-Eared Charmer 1.5 Year Old, Neutered, Male Next > Available Available Across UK Henry’s story began in a community park, where he had been dumped and left to fend for himself. He was struggling with respiratory issues and wasn’t accepted by the cats in the colony, leaving him on his own. Thankfully, he was rescued and given the care he needed to recover. Now, Henry is safe in a caring foster home, and he is slowly discovering what it feels like to be loved and secure. His foster mama describes him as one of the sweetest cats. He purrs almost constantly, leans into cuddles with gratitude, and carries with him a softness that makes him impossible not to fall for. Henry is an easy cat to live with. He loves to eat and gets very excited about mealtimes—sometimes a little too excited, as he doesn’t really know how to graze, but small meals with an automatic feeder helps control his appetite. Being a smart boy, if he is hungry, he may open cabinets or catch your attention by knocking items over. He is also vocal about his hunger, meowing to let you know when dinner should be served. When his belly is full, he is usually curled up somewhere, content and sleepy. One of Henry’s most endearing features is his quirky little ear —slightly tilted or twisted, likely from an old scuffle in his past. Rather than taking away from his charm, it only adds to it. That ear is part of his story, part of his character, and part of what makes Henry, Henry. It’s a little reminder of what he’s been through and how special he is now. Playtime for Henry is short but sweet. He’ll happily chase a toy for about half a minute before deciding that food or a nap sounds much better. During play, he can get a little mouthy, which is why wand toys are the best choice. Even then, he remains gentle—he has never hissed, never scratched, and has never bitten out of fear or frustration. He is also very easy to pick up and carry, staying calm in your arms and taking gentle corrections without fuss. Henry does have his sensitivities. Loud noises like vacuum cleaners can frighten him, and it takes him a little time to warm up to new people. He is not aggressive—just cautious until he feels safe. And once he does, his true personality shines through: kind, friendly, and deeply appreciative of every bit of love shown to him. Each day in foster care, Henry grows more comfortable, and one thing is becoming clear—he is a gentle soul who wants nothing more than to belong. He may not be the most energetic cat, but what he offers is something even more precious: calm companionship, endless affection, and the quiet comfort of knowing you are never alone. Henry is ready for his forever home. A place where he can eat his meals without worry, nap in peace, soak up cuddles, and finally know that he will never be abandoned again. A calm and patient family who can help him continue his journey out of survival mode. With love, consistency, and gentle reassurance, he will learn that meals will always come, that he is safe, and that he never has to worry about being left hungry or alone again. - PANDA & SUNNY| Rescue Cat for Adoption | Itty Bitty Kitty Tails
The Brave & The Chatty < Back PANDA & SUNNY The Brave & The Chatty 8 Months Old, Sterilised, Male & Female Next > Available Available Across UK Sunny (white and ginger, female) and her brother Panda (white and black, male) are just seven months old, but they have already lived through more than most kittens ever should. This bonded brother-sister pair were dumped at just three weeks old, left to fend for themselves without their mother. There were three of them originally — their brother Tom was adopted early on — but Sunny and Panda stayed together. And it was Sunny, the only girl, who bravely stepped out of hiding each day to make sure her brothers got food. A tiny kitten with the heart of a lion. She truly is a little hero in disguise. Life on the streets quickly became too much and both fell ill. Thankfully, they were rescued and brought into a safe foster home, where they have been ever since — healing, growing, and turning into the most delightful little goofballs imaginable. What they share is a proper sibling bond. They zoom together, nap together, wind each other up, and check in constantly. They are curious, affectionate, and completely involved in whatever is happening around them. If a door opens, they’re flying down the corridor — destination unknown, enthusiasm unquestionable. Sunny is sweet, gentle, and just slightly queen-like. She was a little standoffish at first, but she has blossomed beautifully and now absolutely loves a cuddle. She’s playful, courageous, and has the most expressive little face. Panda, on the other hand, is a cheeky little monkey. He purrs at the tiniest touch and has plenty to say — sometimes perhaps a little too much — so you do need to appreciate a chatty cat. He permanently looks surprised (it’s a look), and the two little dots on his nose make him look faintly like a cow. It’s impossible not to smile at him. They are both incredibly affectionate and very interactive — they are in everything. They love chasing flies, watching birds, racing around with each other (or with Stitch), and gently winding up the older cats in the house — prod and run is a favourite sport. Panda adores toy mice, they both enjoy jumping onto the cube that holds the toys, love the tunnel, the hammocks on the balcony, the top of the cat tree — and of course, a box. Who doesn’t love a box? They play happily with the two older foster boys (now six years old) and have met the neighbour’s little boy, whom they adored. They interact beautifully with humans and other cats and have shown no difficulty integrating into a household environment. One small detail: they are greedy. Utterly, unapologetically greedy. They will push the adult cats out of the way of the food bowl and would quite happily eat until they exploded if left unchecked. Supervision required. Appetite unmatched. Health-wise, Sunny and Panda are fully up to date with their vaccinations, dewormed, spayed and neutered, microchipped, and FIV/FeLV negative. They are completely house-trained and have shown themselves to integrate beautifully with other cats. They are comfortable around children aged eight and above, and while they haven’t been formally tested with dogs, their adaptable and confident nature suggests they would likely manage well with a calm introduction. Sunny and Panda are looking for a forever home together. They have already been left behind once; they won’t understand being separated. The ideal family will be playful, patient, and full of love. These two deserve safety, warmth, and the certainty that they will never again be abandoned. In return, they will give endless affection, daily entertainment, chatty commentary, and a house that never feels empty. They are utterly adorable cuties — and they are ready for their real beginning. Further Information Vaccinations UTD FIV/FeLV Negative Microchip Dogs Yes Maybe Other conditions? - Fostering FAQ | Itty Bitty Kitty Tails
Join our fostering programme FOSTERING FAQ TYPES OF ANIMALS THAT NEED TO BE FOSTERED: We mostly rescue cats and kittens who can benefit from foster care. The fostering part is the most fundamental part of the rescue to rehome journey. A foster home enables them to settle into a home environment which means they will get adopted quicker. Most of the the cats under our supervison are generally dumped and/or abused by humans. The types of cats we have available for fostering: Cats dumped or surrendered by their previous owners that can not survive outside Orphaned kittens Queen with kittens Cats recovering from injury or illness (may need medication) Shy or fearful animals that need socialisation Healthy adult animals waiting for a forever home THERE ARE NO FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES ASSOCIATED WITH FOSTERING: We will provide you with a foster starter kit which will include: a bag of food, litter, toys, litter box and scoop*. If the kitty you decide to foster requires any medications/supplements, we will also provide you with these. Please note that the foster starter kit for the UK is at the discretion of the Guardian. As the main Guardian of the kitty we will handle the and age-appropriate vaccines through to adoption, Spaying/Neutering, food, including kitten formula/food (upon request)*, litter (upon request)*, crates or exercise pens, especially for litters, special items on a case-by-case basis. Additionally, all information about the cat that we have, including any special needs or problems due to experiences before it reached our care. Unanticipated problems may occur because owners sometimes omit information when they surrender an animal, and of course, we have no information on animals that come in as strays other than what we observed at the vets in the first few days. *We greatly appreciate if the Foster Custodian can continue to provide food and litter after the initial set up is done. DURATION OF FOSTERING: Each case is different, and it depends on the situation. The average stay in a foster home can range from a few weeks to 4 months - sometimes more depending on when the right family comes along for your foster kitty. YOUR DUTIES AS A FOSTER CUSTODIAN: Fostering is like having a pet without the long-term commitment! The only commitment we need from you is that you will love and care for this animal until we find it a forever home. Don’t worry if you have never done this before because we will guide you and assist you every step of the way: Feed, socialise, love, groom, introduce basic training, and care for the animals as if they were your own Observe and report any problems with the animal to the cat’s Guardian Sometimes there might be vets visits which we would love if you could drive them to - if not we will do the running around. The financial burden is on us providing there is no breach of terms and conditions set out in the Custodian Agreement Comply with our policies and Foster Custodian's should consider themselves ambassadors of our Foster Care Programme HERE ARE JUST SOME BENEFITS OF FOSTERING: Interacting with animals is a huge stress reliever You may want to adopt a pet, but cannot Some may want to experience the joys of a companion animal in the home but are not ready for the long-term commitment of adoption You choose the type of animal you are comfortable with inviting into your home Foster Custodians receive unconditional love and companionship from foster animals YOU DON’T NEED TO HAVE MEDICAL KNOWLEDGE OR EXPERTISE: No prior medical knowledge is required. We will guide you and support you every step of the way. WHAT TO DO IF THEY BECOME SICK DURING YOUR CARE: If a foster kitty becomes sick, Foster Custodians should contact the Guardian to schedule a visit with the veterinarian. All approved veterinary costs are pre-paid by us or you will be reimbursed in full subject to the terms set out in the terms and conditions. YOU CAN STILL FOSTER IF YOU HAVE YOUR OWN ANIMALS: There's always a health risk to expose your animal to other animals even if those animals are healthy. The health risk is minimal if your animals are current on their vaccinations, maintains a healthy diet and lifestyle, and are not elderly or very young. We will guide you on how to carry out proper introductions. YOU CAN FOSTER EVEN IF YOU HAVE KIDS Fostering is a wonderful family experience and can build a foundation of philanthropy in your children. It’s important to select an animal that is age-appropriate with your children. You must also be diligent about providing guidance, instructions and rules to your children about caring for your foster animal. IF YOU DECIDE YOU WANT TO ADOPT THE KITTY YOU ARE FOSTERING: As much as we will be sad to lose you as a fosterer, we give the first refusal to the Foster Custodian if they decide they want to adopt as you meet the requirements necessary for adoption. Paperwork is required and our regular adoption fees usually apply. HOW WE MARKET OUR RESCUES TO BE ADOPTED: We require weekly photos, videos and stories so we can get to know the kitty as they start blossoming in a home environment. We use these to post online and social media to attract the best forever homes for them. IF YOU ARE NO LONGER ABLE TO FOSTER: Ideally, we would prefer it if you could continue fostering until a permanent home is found for the cat as it’s extremely stressful for cats to experience too much change in a short period of time. Sometimes we don’t have enough foster homes which mean the cat will be returned to a cage at the vets and any progress made is sometimes then undone, not to mention how stressful it is for the cat. However, we understand that situations change, and it may become necessary to discontinue fostering. We request that a foster parent provide as much notice as possible so that we can find an alternative foster home to transfer the cat to - ideally a min of two weeks’ notice is required. In case of an emergency, please contact the guardian. IF YOU ARE GOING AWAY ON A SHORT BREAK OR BUSINESS TRIP: If given enough notice, we can usually find volunteers that can foster sit for short durations. We request that the Foster Custodian to always keep the Guardian aware of any temporary foster sitting situations. IF YOU ARE ON BOARD AND WANT TO MOVE FORWARD WITH THE ENROLLMENT: Excellent we can't wait to speak with you and enrol you onto the IBKT fostering programme. Click on the link below and ensure you have understood all the Terms & Conditions section detailed at the end of the agreement. Enquire to Foster
