- OTHELLO| Rescue Cat for Adoption | Itty Bitty Kitty Tails
Your House. His Commentary. < Back OTHELLO Your House. His Commentary. 1 Year Old, Neutered, Male Next > Available Available Across UK Some cats quietly blend into the background. Othello has never quite mastered that. Whether he’s greeting you with a cheerful chirp, chatting as you make a cup of tea or curling up beside you after a play session, Othello has a wonderful way of making himself part of everyday life. Affectionate, playful and wonderfully laid back, he’s a young boy who has left the hardest chapter of his life behind him and is now ready to enjoy everything that comes with having a family of his own. A bit about Othello His days are a lovely balance of adventure and relaxation. One minute he’s enthusiastically chasing a wand toy with impressive hunting skills, the next he’s stretched out in his favourite bed or snoozing beside his people. He enjoys being picked up, is happy to be held and will often settle close by for company. If the mood takes him, he’ll happily climb onto your lap for a cuddle. One thing you’ll quickly notice is that Othello has plenty to say. He’s quite the little conversationalist and isn’t shy about letting you know when he’d like some attention or entertainment. His foster describes him as vocal when he’s bored, so he’ll thrive with a family who enjoys interacting with him and making him part of everyday life. Othello currently lives indoors, has impeccable litter habits and enjoys both wet and dry food, particularly Royal Canin and Applaws Tuna. Mealtimes are one of his favourite parts of the day and he’s always keen to remind you when dinner should be served. Although people are his favourite company, Othello also enjoys the companionship of other friendly cats. He currently lives happily alongside resident cats and is known to seek them out for cuddles and companionship, making him a lovely addition to a home with a welcoming feline friend. We don’t have enough information to confidently assess him with children or dogs, so any introductions should be considered carefully. Perhaps the most remarkable thing about Othello is how little his past has defined him. After being rescued following a motorcycle accident, he underwent surgery to repair a fractured front leg and later had his damaged tail amputated. Thanks to excellent veterinary care and dedicated fostering, he has made a fantastic recovery. Today he walks, runs, climbs and plays just like any other young cat, and his previous injuries do not affect his everyday life. Othello is looking for a loving indoor home where he’ll have plenty of companionship, interactive play and, most importantly, someone willing to chat back every now and then. In return, you’ll gain a loyal, affectionate and incredibly handsome companion who proves every day that happy endings really do exist. The ideal family A loving indoor home where Othello can be part of family life. He would enjoy plenty of interaction and play, and would appreciate a home where someone is around for at least part of the day. He would be equally happy joining a home with another friendly cat or becoming the centre of attention as a much-loved only cat. Kids: Older, cat-savvy children would likely be most suitable. We have insufficient information regarding younger children. Indoor/Outdoor: Indoor only. Other cats: Yes. Othello enjoys feline companionship and is known to seek out resident cats for cuddles and company. Dogs: Unknown. Food: Royal Canin Indoor dry and wet food, with Applaws Tuna wet food as a favourite. Rescue story Like his Shakespearean namesake, Othello’s story began with tragedy, but thankfully his ending is proving to be a much happier one. He was rescued after being struck by a motorcycle, suffering injuries that required surgery to repair a fractured front leg and the amputation of his damaged tail. During weeks of recovery and cage rest, his gentle nature, affectionate personality and resilient spirit never faded. Today, thanks to expert veterinary care and the dedication of his foster family, Othello has made a remarkable recovery. He runs, climbs, plays and enjoys life exactly as every young cat should. His difficult start is firmly behind him, and now all that’s missing is a forever family to help him write the final chapter of his story. - FINNEGAN| Rescue Cat for Adoption | Itty Bitty Kitty Tails
Will Accept Payment in Churu < Back FINNEGAN Will Accept Payment in Churu 10 Years Old, Neutered, Male Next > Available Available Across UK Some cats burst into your life from the very first day. Finnegan prefers a slower introduction. He believes that the very best friendships are built on patience, gentle encouragement and a few tasty treats along the way. After just five weeks in foster care, he has already come such a long way. The nervous boy who once hid from every movement has gradually begun to seek out affection, enjoy interactive play and show his wonderfully gentle personality. Watching his confidence grow has been one of the greatest joys for his foster carer and there is every reason to believe he will continue to flourish in a calm, understanding home. A little glimpse into his world Finnegan has a wonderfully predictable daily routine. Mornings are usually reserved for long naps, while early evenings are when he truly comes to life. He loves chasing balls and string toys, happily entertaining himself before inviting his favourite person to join in. Recently, he has even started pausing between play sessions for gentle strokes before heading back for another round of games. It is a small milestone that says a great deal about how far he has come. One of Finnegan’s sweetest habits is making biscuits while standing whenever he is especially happy. He is also delightfully talkative and will happily chat away as he goes about his day, adding plenty of character to the home. Although affectionate, Finnegan still finds direct approaches a little overwhelming. If he is resting comfortably or curled up in his favourite loaf position, he enjoys gentle fuss and attention. If someone walks directly towards him, however, his instinct is often still to move away. He isn’t being unfriendly, he’s simply learning that people can always be trusted. He doesn’t enjoy being picked up or held and isn’t currently a lap cat, although he is becoming increasingly comfortable sharing the sofa with his humans. Because he is naturally cautious, Finnegan is looking for adopters who will let him set the pace. A quiet home with patient people who understand that confidence cannot be rushed will help him continue the wonderful progress he has already made. Interactive play each evening will be an important part of building his trust and strengthening the bond between him and his new family. Medical information Finnegan is missing his back teeth, so his food simply needs a little adjustment. Mixing wet food with his dry food helps him eat comfortably, while dry biscuits can be offered separately as treats, which he absolutely loves. Churu-style treats are a particular favourite and are also perfect for disguising any medication should he ever need it. He has excellent litter tray habits. His ideal home Children: Older, calm and respectful children may be considered, although a quiet adult home would likely suit him best. Indoor/Outdoor: Indoor-only home. Other cats: Untested. Dogs: Untested. Food: Enjoys both wet and dry food, with wet food mixed into his meals due to missing back teeth. Loves Churu treats. Rescue story Like so many rescue cats, Finnegan has experienced change and uncertainty before arriving in foster care. While we don’t know everything about his past, we do know that with patience, kindness and consistency he has already started to leave his worries behind. His journey is a lovely reminder that sometimes the quietest cats simply need someone willing to wait for them. In return, they reward that patience with trust that feels truly special. - BEAU| Rescue Cat for Adoption | Itty Bitty Kitty Tails
Looking for Someone to Spend All Nine Lives With < Back BEAU Looking for Someone to Spend All Nine Lives With 1.5 years, Male , Neutered Next > Available Available Across UK Some cats demand attention the moment they walk into a room. Beau isn’t one of them. Instead, he’ll quietly watch from a comfortable distance, taking everything in with his thoughtful little face until he decides you’re someone worth trusting. And once you earn that trust, you’ll discover an incredibly gentle, affectionate companion who simply wants to be close to his people. Beau is the definition of a kind soul. Since moving into foster care three months ago, he has shown just how calm and patient he is. Living alongside another young cat, he has never tried to dominate or compete. Instead, he’s politely waited for friendship on the resident cat’s terms, showing a wonderfully respectful nature around other felines. He’s even known for getting along beautifully with his outdoor cat friends too. His days are wonderfully uncomplicated. Breakfast is followed by a little exploring, plenty of lounging, the occasional Kit Cat purée treat and, whenever the opportunity arises, some well-earned human attention. He enjoys gentle affection and is happy to curl up beside you, sometimes even claiming a spot on your lap once he’s feeling settled. Beau isn’t a whirlwind of energy or mischief. He’s the sort of cat who quietly becomes part of your routine, keeping you company while you work, read or relax. There’s something incredibly comforting about his calm presence. Like many cats who have experienced change, Beau can be a little shy when meeting new people or entering a new environment. He may take a little time to settle, but beneath that initial caution is an affectionate cat who simply wants to feel safe. Patience will be rewarded many times over. Thankfully, life with Beau is refreshingly straightforward. He has excellent litter tray manners, enjoys both wet and dry food, isn’t on any medication and has no known medical concerns. The ideal home Beau would thrive in a calm, loving household where his family understand that trust takes time. Once he feels secure, he has so much quiet affection to give. Children: Older, cat-savvy children aged 8+ would likely be suitable. Indoor or outdoor: Indoor-only home. Other cats: Yes. Based on his foster experience, we believe Beau would enjoy living with another friendly cat. Dogs: Unknown. He has not been tested with dogs. Food: Beau currently enjoys Royal Canin Indoor dry food for grazing, wet food twice daily and absolutely appreciates a Kit Cat purée treat. Rescue Story Like so many cats rescued from the streets, Beau is now discovering what safety and consistency feel like. Since entering foster care, his gentle personality has started to shine through. Now all that’s missing is a family willing to give this sweet, patient boy the forever home he’s been waiting for. - HELIOS| Rescue Cat for Adoption | Itty Bitty Kitty Tails
Sunny Energy. Big Heart. < Back HELIOS Sunny Energy. Big Heart. 1 Year Old, Neutered, Male Next > Available Available Across UK Meet Helios. Named after the Greek god of the sun, and honestly, the name fits. This handsome white and ginger boy has enough personality to light up an entire home. Affectionate, playful, intelligent and endlessly entertaining, Helios is the sort of cat who quickly becomes part of every aspect of your day. Whether he is supervising your work, greeting you at the door or launching himself after a wand toy with Olympic-level enthusiasm, life is never dull when Helios is around. A Bit About Helios Helios is a cat who genuinely enjoys being around people. He is curious about what you are doing, likes to be involved in daily life and will often seek out company rather than disappearing off to nap in another room. When you return home, he is usually there to greet you. He enjoys spending time alongside his humans and likes to know what is happening around him. Whilst he is not a traditional lap cat, he often chooses to sleep beside his people, frequently resting a paw against them as he settles down. He has adapted well to visitors in his foster home and is generally confident around new people. Rather than hiding away, Helios tends to observe what is going on with calm curiosity and quickly settles back into his routine. His foster describes him as loving, social and incredibly rewarding to live with, albeit with a healthy dose of mischief thrown in for good measure. One of his favourite things in the world is interactive play. Wand toys are a particular highlight and bring out his natural hunting instincts. He loves chasing, stalking, pouncing and leaping after toys, and unlike some cats who ignore expensive purchases in favour of cardboard boxes, Helios genuinely appreciates new toys and enrichment. Living With Helios Helios is an active and intelligent young cat with plenty of energy. Like many cats his age, he enjoys climbing, exploring and investigating absolutely everything around him. He is particularly fond of high places and can often be found perched somewhere he probably knows he is not supposed to be. If gently redirected, there is every chance he may decide to return immediately and continue his investigation. He also has occasional zoomies, particularly during the evening, and enjoys racing around the house with great enthusiasm. A home that can offer plenty of play, enrichment and opportunities for climbing would suit him beautifully. Like many confident cats, Helios is also very clear about his boundaries. He is not keen on being picked up and prefers interactions on his own terms. If he has had enough fuss or does not wish to be moved, he will usually communicate this clearly through his body language and, on occasion, a gentle warning nip. His foster describes these as communication rather than aggression, and he responds well when people respect his signals. For this reason, Helios would be best suited to adopters who understand cat behaviour and are happy to build a relationship based on mutual trust and respect. Medical Information Helios is neutered and currently requires no medication or special diet. He has excellent litter tray habits and uses an open litter tray with clumping clay litter. The Ideal Home Helios would thrive in a home with adopters who appreciate an active, intelligent and affectionate cat. He is looking for people who will embrace both the fun and occasional chaos that comes with sharing life with a young cat full of personality. In return, he offers companionship, entertainment and a genuine bond with the people he loves. Children: We do not have direct experience of Helios living with children. Given his playful nature and clear communication around boundaries, we believe he may be suited to a home with sensible older children who understand how to interact respectfully with cats. Indoor/Outdoor: Indoor only. Other Cats: Unknown. Helios is currently the only cat in his foster home. Dogs: Unknown. Food: Enjoys both wet and dry food, particularly tuna-based wet food. Rescue Story Helios appeared one day in a local cat colony as though he had simply decided that was where he would be next. It very quickly became obvious that he was not a cat who belonged on the streets. Friendly, confident and actively seeking out human company, he stood out immediately from the other cats around him. Originally, he was picked up as part of a TNR programme. The plan was simple: neuter him and return him to the colony. That plan did not last very long. Once safely indoors, Helios made it abundantly clear that he much preferred people, comfort and companionship to life outside. He settled quickly, charmed everyone he met and convinced those around him that he deserved the chance to find a permanent home of his own. Now Helios is looking for the family who will appreciate everything that makes him special: his intelligence, his confidence, his affection and, of course, his wonderfully cheeky personality. a confident and characterful young cat. He is not the sort of cat who throws himself into every interaction. Instead, he prefers to take his time, assess the situation, and decide for himself who is worthy of his trust. And when he does choose you, it means something. Further Information Vaccinations UTD FIV/FeLV Negative Microchip Dogs Yes Maybe Other conditions? - PADDY| Rescue Cat for Adoption | Itty Bitty Kitty Tails
Small Cat, Big Energy < Back PADDY Small Cat, Big Energy 1 Year Old, Neutered, Male Next > Available Portsmouth - Available Across UK Paddy is not a background cat. He is a presence. He will make you laugh, test your patience just enough to keep you humble, and then curl up beside you as if to say, “worth it, wasn’t it?” For the right home, he will be everything. A Day in Paddy’s World His day is a balance of two very distinct modes. First, there is Paddy the athlete. Fast, curious, and endlessly entertaining, he loves to run, chase, and throw himself wholeheartedly into play. Wand toys are his absolute favourite, and he will happily sprint, leap and zig-zag his way through multiple play sessions a day. Then, there is Paddy the shadow. Once his energy is spent, he becomes incredibly affectionate. He will flop beside you, curl up on you, and sleep peacefully through the night, often tucked close by your legs. He is also wonderfully expressive. Paddy is a chatty little character who will happily “talk” to you throughout the day, especially when he wants interaction. The Fun (and the Honest Bit) Paddy is clever. Too clever, sometimes. If his energy is not properly channelled, he will find his own entertainment. This can include knocking things over, investigating bins, unravelling toilet rolls, or appearing exactly where you do not expect him. This is not bad behaviour. It is simply a young, intelligent cat who needs an outlet. With 3 or more proper play sessions a day, he is calm, affectionate and an absolute joy. Without them, he will remind you that he has energy to burn. He is also not shy about inserting himself into your day. Working from home? Expect a little assistant on your keyboard. Medical Notes No known medical concerns. The Right Home for Paddy Paddy will thrive in a home that understands that young cats are not passive pets, they are active companions. Ideal home: • Experienced cat owner • Able to commit to daily interactive play • Comfortable with a vocal, social cat • Appreciates personality and engagement over quiet independence Children Not suited to very young children. Older, cat-savvy children may be considered. Indoor/Outdoor Indoor only. Other Cats He may do well with another confident, playful cat who can match his energy and is tolerant of rough-and-tumble play. He would not suit a very calm or timid cat. Dogs No been with dogs. A home with a dog will be considered, providing it’s a cat-friendly dog and proper introductions can be adminsitered. Food Mixed diet of wet and dry food. Enjoys tuna-based wet food and grazes on kibble throughout the day. Rescue Story Paddy has spent the last few months in foster care where he has shown just how affectionate, social and entertaining he can be. He has formed strong bonds with his humans and adapted well to indoor living. Now, he is ready for a home that can match his energy, understand his needs, and enjoy everything that makes him such a character. If there’s activity happening, Zorro believes he should not only attend, but supervise. Equal parts affectionate clown and loyal sidekick, Zorro has the sort of personality that makes people laugh daily. He flops dramatically at your feet for attention, stretches himself across sofas like he pays the bills and proudly brings springs and toys back to you in games of fetch like an overachieving Labrador trapped in a cat’s body. He’s incredibly people-oriented and thrives on affection. Strokes, cuddles, kisses, reassurance, company… Zorro genuinely just wants to be near his humans. He’s confident, bold and curious, with a wonderfully chatty nature that makes him feel like a constant little companion around the home. Despite his confident side, there’s also something deeply sweet about him. He seeks comfort from his people and loves physical connection, happily being picked up and held. He’s playful without being rough and has a gentle nature that makes him a joy to have around. His foster describes him perfectly with three simple words:“He’s a dude.” Zorro currently lives in a quiet foster home with multiple other cats and has shown himself to be social and friendly around both people and felines. He has not been formally tested with dogs, although his easy-going and confident personality suggests he may adapt well with sensible introductions. Like any entertaining little chaos goblin, he does come with one tiny disclaimer: Zorro is slightly clumsy and wonderfully gung-ho. Gracefulness is not his strongest skill. Charging enthusiastically into life absolutely is. Medical Notes Zorro has what is known as chronic snuffles, meaning he occasionally sneezes, coughs or gets a slightly snotty nose. His foster has explored veterinary investigations and treatment options extensively, including antibiotics and nasal flushing. Despite this, the condition remains chronic but manageable. Importantly: It is not contagious to humans or other cats It does not stop him living a happy, playful and affectionate life His nose can simply be wiped when needed Honestly, Zorro himself seems entirely unbothered by it. The Home Zorro Dreams Of Zorro would thrive in a loving home where he can truly be part of the family rather than simply existing alongside it. He would suit adopters who enjoy an interactive, affectionate and playful cat with a huge personality. An active home with older sensible children could suit him well, particularly one where there’s plenty of playtime, attention and companionship. Suitable For: Older sensible children Indoor home with safe outdoor access or catio potential Other friendly cats Potentially dogs with careful introductions Food Zorro enjoys both wet and dry food. He currently has: Wet food twice daily, including Tuna Applaws Purina One Healthy Cat dry food Seafood Sensations dry food Most treats enthusiastically accepted without complaint Rescue Story Zorro may not have had the easiest start, but you would never know it from the way he approaches life now. Somewhere along the way, this funny, affectionate little cat decided the world was exciting, humans were wonderful and every spring toy deserved to be proudly returned for another round of fetch. - MAMA GRECIA & ZETA| Rescue Cat for Adoption | Itty Bitty Kitty Tails
A Love Story In Two Acts < Back MAMA GRECIA & ZETA A Love Story In Two Acts 2 years & 1 year old, Spayed, females Next > Available Available Across UK Some cats arrive in rescue loudly. Others quietly tiptoe their way into your heart. Mama Grecia and her daughter Zeta are very much the second kind. One is gentle, cautious and quietly learning that humans can be safe. The other is a tiny social butterfly who believes every sofa was invented purely for cuddles. Together, they balance each other beautifully. Mama Grecia and Zeta share an incredibly sweet bond and are often found curled up together after a day of sunbathing, zoomies and demanding affection from their favourite humans. Mama Grecia is the calmer soul of the pair. After everything she has been through, she takes a little time to trust new people, but once she does, she becomes deeply affectionate in her own quiet way. She loves rubbing against her humans, stretching out beside them on the sofa and soaking up gentle strokes and attention. She is not keen on being picked up and prefers affection on her own terms, which honestly just adds to her charm. Zeta, meanwhile, did not get the memo about personal space. She is wonderfully affectionate, gloriously chatty and fully committed to being involved in absolutely everything you are doing. She will climb onto laps, flop dramatically beside you, stretch up for strokes and politely remind you that tummy rubs are, in fact, mandatory. Her tiny high-pitched meow and oversized personality make her impossible not to fall in love with. Together, they have settled beautifully into foster care over the past four months and now spend their days lounging in sunny spots, chatting to their humans, playing together and perfecting the art of making themselves comfortable on sofas and armchairs. Zeta also gives Mama Grecia confidence around people, which has been lovely to watch. Their relationship feels less like simply mother and daughter and more like best friends navigating the world together. While they are both affectionate cats, they would thrive most in a calmer home with patient adopters who understand that trust is something precious. A home where they will be spoken to gently, cherished properly and allowed to continue blossoming at their own pace. Zeta has a mild chronic snuffler condition, which means she occasionally sneezes or gets a runny nose. She has been thoroughly assessed and her condition is manageable and not contagious to people or other cats. It certainly does not stop her living life to the fullest or demanding cuddles every five minutes. The girls currently enjoy a combination of wet and dry food, with Tuna Applaws wet food and Purina One Healthy Cat dry food being particular favourites. Suitable home: Older sensible children Indoor home preferred with safe enrichment Could live with other friendly cats No dog experience known Someone home a good amount of the time would be ideal Rescue story: Mama Grecia was rescued from an apartment stairwell while desperately trying to protect her tiny kittens. Tragically, not all of her babies survived after suffering cruelty from people nearby. Despite everything she endured, she chose love anyway. Now, alongside her daughter Zeta, she is finally learning what safety, comfort and kindness look like. Their next chapter is simply waiting for the right family to begin.
