The Cat Who Chooses You < Back ADAM The Cat Who Chooses You 7 Months Old, Neutered, Male Next > Available Available Across UK Meet Adam. He has the face of a supermodel, the coat of a sunset, and the kind of presence that makes you stop and look twice. All ginger, all charisma, and entirely unbothered by the fact that everyone in the room has noticed him. Rescued as a tiny kitten from an industrial area, Adam has grown from a cautious, observant youngster into a confident and characterful young cat. He is not the sort of cat who throws himself into every interaction. Instead, he prefers to take his time, assess the situation, and decide for himself who is worthy of his trust. And when he does choose you, it means something. A Bit About Adam Adam is intelligent, independent and wonderfully self-assured. He enjoys being part of the household and likes to keep an eye on what is happening around him, but he is equally content entertaining himself and spending time in his own company. He is not a lap cat and does not seek constant attention, yet he forms meaningful bonds with the people he trusts. His affection is subtle rather than overwhelming. He is the sort of cat who quietly settles into your life and becomes a steady, reassuring presence. Since arriving in foster care, Adam has grown steadily in confidence. He now moves comfortably around the home, enjoys play sessions with his feline companion, and has developed a calm, settled routine. His Favourite Things Food. Quite simply, food. Adam is wonderfully unfussy and happily eats a variety of wet and dry foods. He is also highly food-motivated and has developed a talent for investigating anything edible left unattended on a kitchen counter. If there is food available, Adam would very much like to be involved. Like any young cat, he also enjoys playtime and has regular bursts of energy where he races around the house with enthusiasm. The dignified exterior occasionally gives way to full kitten zoomies. Outside of these moments, Adam is generally quiet and relaxed. He is not prone to excessive meowing or attention-seeking and is content simply being part of the household. Things to Consider Adam likes relationships to develop on his terms. He can be cautious around unfamiliar men and will often prefer to observe from a distance before deciding whether he is comfortable. With patience, consistency, and a calm approach, he settles well and forms strong bonds. He does not enjoy being picked up, restrained, or handled against his wishes. If he feels trapped or uncomfortable, he will make his feelings known. Respecting his boundaries is key to building a trusting relationship with him. This is not a flaw. It is simply part of who he is. Adam currently lives alongside another cat and is capable of sharing a home with feline companions. He has a confident personality and may initially test boundaries, so introductions should be carried out gradually and thoughtfully. Medical Information Adam is neutered, microchipped and dewormed. He is not currently on any medication or special diet and has no known health concerns. The Ideal Home Adam is looking for adopters who appreciate cats for who they are rather than who they expect them to be. He would thrive with people who enjoy earning a cat’s trust, understand feline body language, and respect that not every cat expresses affection in the same way. In return, he offers companionship, personality, and the quiet satisfaction of being chosen by a cat who genuinely means it. Children: Older cat-savvy children aged 12+ who understand and respect feline boundaries. Indoor/Outdoor: Indoor only. Other Cats: Possible with a calm, confident resident cat and careful introductions. Dogs: Unknown. Food: Eats a wide variety of foods and is extremely food-motivated. Kitchen counters should not be considered secure storage. Rescue Story Adam was rescued as a young kitten from an industrial area and brought into foster care, where he could finally experience the safety and stability every cat deserves. When he first arrived, he was cautious and reserved around people, preferring to observe from a distance while he learned that he was safe. Over time, with patience and consistency, his confidence grew. Today, he is a striking, playful, intelligent young cat with a strong sense of self and a quietly affectionate nature. He may not be the cat who immediately climbs into your lap, but he is the cat who will make you feel genuinely special when he decides you are one of his people. If you are looking for a beautiful, independent companion with a big personality and an even bigger heart hidden beneath it, Adam may just be the perfect match. - HELIOS| Rescue Cat for Adoption | Itty Bitty Kitty Tails
Sunny Energy. Big Heart. < Back HELIOS Sunny Energy. Big Heart. 1 Year Old, Neutered, Male Next > Available Available Across UK Meet Helios. Named after the Greek god of the sun, and honestly, the name fits. This handsome white and ginger boy has enough personality to light up an entire home. Affectionate, playful, intelligent and endlessly entertaining, Helios is the sort of cat who quickly becomes part of every aspect of your day. Whether he is supervising your work, greeting you at the door or launching himself after a wand toy with Olympic-level enthusiasm, life is never dull when Helios is around. A Bit About Helios Helios is a cat who genuinely enjoys being around people. He is curious about what you are doing, likes to be involved in daily life and will often seek out company rather than disappearing off to nap in another room. When you return home, he is usually there to greet you. He enjoys spending time alongside his humans and likes to know what is happening around him. Whilst he is not a traditional lap cat, he often chooses to sleep beside his people, frequently resting a paw against them as he settles down. He has adapted well to visitors in his foster home and is generally confident around new people. Rather than hiding away, Helios tends to observe what is going on with calm curiosity and quickly settles back into his routine. His foster describes him as loving, social and incredibly rewarding to live with, albeit with a healthy dose of mischief thrown in for good measure. One of his favourite things in the world is interactive play. Wand toys are a particular highlight and bring out his natural hunting instincts. He loves chasing, stalking, pouncing and leaping after toys, and unlike some cats who ignore expensive purchases in favour of cardboard boxes, Helios genuinely appreciates new toys and enrichment. Living With Helios Helios is an active and intelligent young cat with plenty of energy. Like many cats his age, he enjoys climbing, exploring and investigating absolutely everything around him. He is particularly fond of high places and can often be found perched somewhere he probably knows he is not supposed to be. If gently redirected, there is every chance he may decide to return immediately and continue his investigation. He also has occasional zoomies, particularly during the evening, and enjoys racing around the house with great enthusiasm. A home that can offer plenty of play, enrichment and opportunities for climbing would suit him beautifully. Like many confident cats, Helios is also very clear about his boundaries. He is not keen on being picked up and prefers interactions on his own terms. If he has had enough fuss or does not wish to be moved, he will usually communicate this clearly through his body language and, on occasion, a gentle warning nip. His foster describes these as communication rather than aggression, and he responds well when people respect his signals. For this reason, Helios would be best suited to adopters who understand cat behaviour and are happy to build a relationship based on mutual trust and respect. Medical Information Helios is neutered and currently requires no medication or special diet. He has excellent litter tray habits and uses an open litter tray with clumping clay litter. The Ideal Home Helios would thrive in a home with adopters who appreciate an active, intelligent and affectionate cat. He is looking for people who will embrace both the fun and occasional chaos that comes with sharing life with a young cat full of personality. In return, he offers companionship, entertainment and a genuine bond with the people he loves. Children: We do not have direct experience of Helios living with children. Given his playful nature and clear communication around boundaries, we believe he may be suited to a home with sensible older children who understand how to interact respectfully with cats. Indoor/Outdoor: Indoor only. Other Cats: Unknown. Helios is currently the only cat in his foster home. Dogs: Unknown. Food: Enjoys both wet and dry food, particularly tuna-based wet food. Rescue Story Helios appeared one day in a local cat colony as though he had simply decided that was where he would be next. It very quickly became obvious that he was not a cat who belonged on the streets. Friendly, confident and actively seeking out human company, he stood out immediately from the other cats around him. Originally, he was picked up as part of a TNR programme. The plan was simple: neuter him and return him to the colony. That plan did not last very long. Once safely indoors, Helios made it abundantly clear that he much preferred people, comfort and companionship to life outside. He settled quickly, charmed everyone he met and convinced those around him that he deserved the chance to find a permanent home of his own. Now Helios is looking for the family who will appreciate everything that makes him special: his intelligence, his confidence, his affection and, of course, his wonderfully cheeky personality. a confident and characterful young cat. He is not the sort of cat who throws himself into every interaction. Instead, he prefers to take his time, assess the situation, and decide for himself who is worthy of his trust. And when he does choose you, it means something. Further Information Vaccinations UTD FIV/FeLV Negative Microchip Dogs Yes Maybe, see profile Other conditions? - BRABUS| Rescue Cat for Adoption | Itty Bitty Kitty Tails
The Ginger Conversationalist < Back BRABUS The Ginger Conversationalist 1.5 Years Old, Neutered, Male Next > Reserved Available Across UK Brabus’s story has had a few unexpected turns for such a young cat. As a kitten, this handsome ginger boy was rescued from the streets and grew up around people and knew what it meant to belong somewhere. But after escaping outdoors, he was lost on the streets of Dubai and had to fend for himself for a while. When he was finally rescued again, the people who had once cared for him had already left the country. Since then, Brabus has simply been waiting for what every cat deserves — a stable, loving forever home where he knows he will never be left behind again. Now around one and a half years old, Brabus has grown into an extraordinarily affectionate cat whose greatest joy in life is being close to his people. He is very much a velcro cat — the sort who likes to follow you from room to room, keep you company while you go about your day, and check in frequently for a cuddle or a reassuring head bump. His purring motor starts easily and runs enthusiastically; Brabus is, without exaggeration, a true purring machine. He also has a playful and curious nature. Brabus loves energetic play sessions with fishing-rod toys and bouncing balls, followed by a rest on his favourite cat tree, where he enjoys surveying his surroundings like a small ginger supervisor. He is an inquisitive boy who likes to explore, and for that reason a home with a bit of space to wander and investigate would suit him well. Closed doors, however, are something he struggles to understand — Brabus very much prefers to be where his people are and does not appreciate being shut away from the action. Together with his wonderful foster, we are still learning more about Brabus and what helps him feel most settled. One thing we have consistently noticed is that he seems much calmer and more relaxed on days when he spends plenty of time with his people. When someone is around for most of the day, he settles more easily into his routine and tends to sleep much better through the night. Brabus is also a very vocal cat, and his meows are loud and expressive. If he feels lonely or would simply prefer a bit more company, he will not hesitate to let you know. At times this can include waking during the night to check that his people are still nearby. During the initial settling-in period, adopters should expect that his night-time calls may occasionally wake them, while he learns the rhythm and security of his new home. Even once settled, Brabus will likely remain a rather chatty and quite loud cat by nature — for the right family, simply part of his character. Despite his sensitive nature, Brabus has the gentlest temperament. He never bites or scratches, and his way of interacting with people is simply through affection, soft purrs and devoted companionship. For Brabus, the ideal home would be a patient and understanding household where someone is around much of the time, allowing him to enjoy the companionship he clearly values. A calm environment and a consistent routine will help him feel safe and settled. A gentle, non-dominant feline companion — or even a calm, cat-friendly dog — may also be a lovely match for him, provided introductions are slow and thoughtful. What Brabus offers in return is something rather special: a loyal, affectionate little shadow who will fill your home with purrs, conversation and an abundance of ginger devotion.
